LeoVegas Christmas MT

Christmas is fast approaching, and many of Malta’s leading iGaming companies in the midst of celebrations, with staff able to let off steam a challenging year.

iGamingCapital.mt reached out to a number of the country’s leading iGaming employers to ask what they expect their Christmas celebrations to look like, and get their predictions for 2022.

In the case of LeoVegas, the company’s team are organising lots of different team activities, from laser tag to escape rooms and “of course”, great food, while staying in compliance with Government guidelines regarding social distancing.

This means that despite the desire to do so, the company has had to postpone the full team get-together.

“Social interactions are at the core of our company culture, and we’ve all missed taking part in some of the big group events, but with over 500 people in the Malta office it’s just not feasible to get everyone together at the moment. Smaller, team-based activities are fun too though,” a company spokesperson explains.

Aside from the celebrations, the company’s offices are open, and the company adds that it is important to them that they keep the Christmas spirit alive for those that choose to come in, with festive decorations, and a number of activities including a visit from Costa Coffee, a gingerbread house making competition, a pub quiz, and regular festive treats.

For many, Christmas is also about giving, and LeoVegas is no exception. The company says it is always looking for ways to support its local community, especially as it knows Christmas is a difficult time for some.

This year, it is supporting the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation by collecting food donations for a ‘traditional reverse advent calendar’ campaign.

Aside from this, the company is also donating toys to the Karl Vella Foundation, which provides educational and psychological assistance to children in families disrupted by serious illness or loss of a family member, and finally making a financial donation to the Malta Community Chest Fund.

Looking past Christmas, to the new year, LeoVegas predicts 2022 to be a big year, and one that brings an exciting milestone, in the form of the 10th anniversary of its first site.

The company spokesperson comments: “Since then, our focus has remained unchanged: to be the King of Casino and offer our customers the greatest gaming experience!

“We do this by continuing to innovate and invest heavily in technology, and our employees. Next year will also see us launch in the US – another exciting corporate milestone that we are all looking forward to.”

“Watch this space,” she concludes.
