Vanessa Camenzuli, Evolution’s global people excellence and engagement manager was this week celebrating her three-year anniversary at the company.
She says it’s been a period she characterises as “intense, demanding and definitely not for the weak-hearted”, but taking to social media to mark the milestone, she explains that in her time at the company, it has provided her with a few “‘gifts’ that are not easy to come by”.
“Pushed to [her] limits”, she writes, she has “exceeded any foreseeable expectation” of herself, feeling “empowered to go beyond her comfort zone.”
Her skills have been “recognised, and maximised – time and time again”, she reflects, and she is accepted for who she is – “continuously given the opportunity to voice [her] views and put [her] mark on projects.”
Finally, discussing her colleagues, she celebrates having worked with “superhero mummies”, who lead “compassionately” while balancing “crazy business demands”.
Ms Camenzuli has had far from a typical career background for a leading iGaming professional, entering the corporate world while striving to become a successful opera singer.
Discussing her background in November, as the pandemic had forced many performing arts professionals out of the industry, she explained how till the age of 23/24 she was determined to become a singer, “spending every penny and ounce of energy on lessons, workshops, exams and the works”.
Although at age 25, she decided to stick to her corporate career, and at the time of reflection last year hadn’t sung for over two years, she has found performing arts to have hardwired in her a number of important qualities, including that despite negative feedback, people should keep “moving forward and persist.”
Indeed, it seems that’s the mentality she’s brought to Evolution, and it’s given her “the most exhilarating roller coaster ride of [her] work-life so far”.
