Malta-based Play North has announced a partnership with neccton, to use the company’s ‘mentor’ player protection software to help fight problem gambling.
Players of the iGaming brand will now be guarded by mentor’s AI-based solution, which analyses player behaviour in real-time to prevent problem gambling habits from evolving.
The software is intended to recognise possible problematic gambling behaviour and works to help both player and operator to identify and address the issue.
“We know and we all feel that we have a big responsibility towards our customers, the people who trust us and play at our brands”, noted Patrick Azzopardi, Director at Play North.
“We constantly aim to provide our customers with on of the simplest, quickest and most innovative online casino experiences possible. We aim to provide all of this while also remaining one of the most responsible gaming operators.
“We encourage our customer to play and enjoy our sites – as long as they are in control. To further ensure this, we have now partnered with neccton, who we view as market leading in assisting us and our customers to identify possible problematic gaming behaviour”, he added.
The solution can also communicate directly with players via customised messages identifying changes in play or overspending, and includes information allowing them to analyse their own behaviour and compare it to the player base.
On the part of neccton, Director and Head of Development Michael Auer said: “One of the key tools in the system is using messaging to directly communicate with the player and create a sort of cognitive dissonance so they can evaluate their own play and make better decisions”.
It is the latest in a series of moves by major iGaming operators, aiming to combat problem gambling and promote responsible gambling. Also this week, Kindred Group announced a partnership with Zafty Intelligence to promote the use of a responsible gambling mobile application.
