MGM Resorts, together with LeoVegas Group, has launched its international BetMGM brand in the UK.

The brand was built off LeoVegas’ platform and technology, after MGM acquired the operator last September for around $604 million.

BetMGM’s UK offering includes “exciting new product features such as large-scale and frequent jackpots, loyalty rewards, unique and compelling sports promotions and exclusive slots,” MGM said.

Commenting on the launch, LeoVegas Group CEO Gustaf Hagman described it as a “historic milestone” for both companies.

“Our Leo-teams have worked tirelessly to ensure its success—and I could not be prouder! We have put in a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to achieve a truly fantastic result: a new golden iGaming and sports betting brand in the UK that will offer customers exciting new product features combined with a best-in-class experience.”

He further commented:

“Finally, I am super excited to see what the future holds. This launch is just the first step in LeoVegas’ and MGM Resorts’ shared growth strategy, keep an eye out for this (golden lion).”

Also commenting on the launch, MGM Resorts CEO and president Bill Hornbuckle said: “BetMGM is a proven brand in the sports betting and iGaming space, and we look forward to welcoming international players into our platforms designed specifically for them.”
