Silvia Cecchia has joined LeoVegas, the Swedish iGaming group founded in 2012, as the company’s Latin America (LATAM) Country Manager. The appointment is the latest move in LeoVegas’s growing presence on the continent, a market it has previously said offers “a great opportunity both in terms of financial growth and players”.
The group’s initial focus was on the Nordics, the UK, and Europe, but organic growth and acquisitions has seen the rest of the world grow to represent 17 per cent of total revenues.
Prior to joining LeoVegas, Ms Cecchia spent more than six years as Italian Territory Manager for William Hill before moving to Swedish-owned Betsson Group, one of the world’s largest gaming groups.
Over her almost seven-year tenure she undertook the roles of Head of Casino and Head of Customer
Marketing – Southern Europe and LATAM, before being promoted to Head of CRM Global Promotions, a position with responsibility for setting the global promotions strategy for the Group and the development of fully compliant CRM plans.
She holds an MA from the University of Sheffield in political economy and a degree in economics in International markets and new technologies from SDA Bocconi Business School, Milan.
