This year’s long-awaited iGaming NEXT summit is set to proceed as planned, as the Malta Government continues its reopening plan, lifting more COVID restrictions.

Taking to social media to discuss the event, iGaming NEXT co-founder Pierre Lindh said the company is “happy and comfortable” to communicate that the event, in late October is set to go ahead.

Adding that demand for the event has been strong, with tickets already nearing being sold out, Mr Lindh said this was “fantastic, considering the uncertainty the pandemic has brought”.

The highly-anticipated event, which aims to “disrupt the status quo” is scheduled to take place at the Mediterranean Conference Centre, and will be attended by some of the biggest brands and influencers in iGaming.

Networking is set to play an even more important role than ever before, as members of the iGaming industry reconvene post-pandemic to build relationships and form new friendships.

The event will be addressed by key figures in Malta’s iGaming industry, including Mikael Hansson, Founder and CEO of Enteractive, Lahcene Merzoug, Betpoint CEO, and Jade Zorab, Amber Gaming managing director.

Mr Lindh’s statement that the event would be taking place came as Malta’s Deputy Prime Minister and Health Minister Chris Fearne announced the lifting of another raft of COVID restrictions.

As from 6th September, he said, standing events with a maximum capacity of 100 fully vaccinated persons would be permitted to take place.

Standing events have not been permitted in Malta since the summer of 2020, with event organisers and promoters repeatedly being told that they will be able to operate in 2021 once the vaccine programme ramps up.
