Malta-headquartered iGaming technology company, iGaming Group, has offered to relocate and provide accommodation for Ukraine-based staff, and immediate family, at the company’s own cost, in a show of support to those impacted by the Russian invasion.

At dawn, on Thursday morning, Russia declared war on Ukraine, with the aim to “demilitarize” the country. Russia’s Vladimir Putin announced a “special military operation”, which saw attacks in the form of rockets and explosives on targets across Ukraine, in the North, South, East and West of the country.

According to Ukrainian media reports, Russia appeared to target infrastructure near major cities such as Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol and Dnipro.

Massive traffic jams and panic have been reported in major cities, Kyiv included, with reports that many are fleeing west.

In response to the shocking crisis, Phil Pearson, Chief Operating Officer at Malta-headquartered iGaming Group, announced that the company has staff across Ukraine, and that it has offered to relocate them and fly them out on company funds, and arrange accommodation for them, and immediate family.

“We have 24/7 staff on call if anything happens and they need any assistance”.

“Obviously our thoughts and hope is with the people of the country. But for us this is personal…….I’m not posting this for likes, I’m posting this as hopefully it inspires another company to do the same, if they do not already, or post the good stories about the things they have done that helped people escape potential all-out war and turmoil.”

“In a world so connected, so unified mostly against various things, its incredible how something so drastic and horrific is still in today’s culture. Sanctions don’t always cut it, so I hope they find a resolution.”
