Greentube, the NOVOMATIC Interactive division, has received its Michigan state licence which will see the supplier further expand its footprint in the emerging US market.

The new supplier licence marks Greentube’s second in the US after making its long-awaited US entry in New Jersey last year. Greentube is now set to partner with operators in the Great Lake State where online gambling has been operational since January 2021.

Games from Greentube’s extensive portfolio including Diamond Cash™: Mighty Elephant, Diamond Cash™: Mighty Sevens and Diamond Cash™: Oasis Riches, as well as other titles developed specifically for US players will imminently be available in the market.

Recently released numbers by the Michigan Gaming Control Board showed that online casino gaming generated $1.1bn in revenue in the first year of operation while internet sports betting produced $292.2m, highlighting the great potential and opportunities for Greentube entering the state.

The US will be an important focus for Greentube over the next few years with the supplier also preparing future launches in Pennsylvania and Connecticut.

Michael Bauer, CFO/CGO at Greentube, said: “Gaining our second US licence is a milestone achievement for us and expanding into Michigan is an important step in our growth strategy in North America. The US market is one with huge potential and one that we will greatly focus on to position ourselves as a leading provider of online casino content that will appeal to local players. We look forward to partnering with operators in Michigan and to introduce our first-class content portfolio to a new audience.”
