Vaccine

Gaming Malta, backed by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), has launched a COVID vaccination initiative aimed at helping Malta’s iGaming sector get vaccinated against the virus.

The scheme, intended to help iGaming employers to encourage their employees to get the vaccine, is being launched in line with other initiatives by local health authorities to help Malta reach herd immunity.

In comments to MaltaCEOs.mt, Ivan Filletti, COO at GamingMalta Foundation, said that the initiative will offer iGaming companies the opportunity to book group vaccinations for their staff or, if a substantial number of employees per company request the service, the setting up of a vaccination unit at the office.

“This will give companies the chance to extend the vaccine roll-out to all employees who haven’t already been inoculated,” Mr Filletti said. “It is a service which we believe will benefit companies greatly – it will make the process more efficient, and spare employees from booking leave or spending hours away from the office to take the vaccine.”

As things stand, GamingMalta is in talks with the country’s health authorities to facilitate this programme.
