Gamesys’ chief data officer Mark Borg has been congratulated for his completion of a 19-hour stretch of the Kayak for Charity challenge to raise money for the Inspire Foundation.

Mr Borg joined the challenge for a stretch of its overall journey, joining the other participants, including Dorian Vassallo and Albert Gambina in their crossing from Malta to Sicily, stopping in Pozzallo.

Donations from the challenge, which currently stand at €12,620 can still be made online, and will be donated to the organisation helping hundreds of individuals with various disabilities.

The completion of Mr Borg’s journey was welcomed by Gamesys, which wished him “huge congratulations”, and said it was “so proud and grateful we could support this cause”.

Malta’s iGaming network, iGEN, also welcomed him and congratulated him on the “fabulous feat to raise funds”.

His participation was “such a great example of supporting the local community”, the network added.
