The European Gaming and Betting Association is “delighted” to be in Malta for a quarterly meeting of the European online gambling associations platform, jointly organised with iGen – iGaming European Network.

“Really interesting discussions and great to see all our colleagues again for the first in person meeting since COVID,” the EGBA said.

The meeting included members of the EGBA, A Brussels-based trade association representing the leading online gaming and betting operators established, licensed and regulated within the EU.

On its part, iGen is an association set up in 2018 and comprises the leading iGaming companies based in Malta and operating on the European & international markets.

The meeting was also attended by the Netherlands Online Gambling Association, Portuguese Association of Bets and Online Games, the German Sports Betting Association, the International Betting Integrity Association and the Belgian Association of Gaming Operators.

Hosted at Kindred Group’s offices in Malta, among the many items on discussion were the EGBA’s latest anti-money laundering guidelines thanks to a presentation by Ekaterina Hartmann, director of legal and regulatory affairs at the EGBA.
