Betsson

Stockhold-listed, Malta-based gaming operator Betsson has launched its Europebet brand in Belarus, offering players access to online sports betting and casino gaming, including online poker.

Live casino games are set to be added in coming weeks, and Betsson has opened an office in Minsk to help manage local operations and to offer customer support services.

Addressing the market entry, Betsson Group CEO Pontus Lindwall said: “Building on the success of Europebet in Georgia, the expansion into nearby Belarus is a natural step in our business growth strategy. We started looking into this market back in 2019 and have been preparing for this expansion ever since.

“As an operator, we will be introducing a high-quality and entertaining product, and excellent customer experience, innovative technology, as well as providing multiple job opportunities through our new office in Minsk”.

Europebet is the first brand to provide poker in Belarus, and will be doing so through its website Europebet.by.

The expansion comes during a very promising period for Betsson, with the company announcing a number of exciting expansions, including that of its B2B offering in Germany, and the winning of several awards, including at the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards in late June, where it won five awards.

In recent weeks, the company also announced an expanded collaboration with Pragmatic Play, by which it would be teaming up for a live casino offering.
